Former World of Words member Nathan Shepperd is now 22 and a professional footballer at Dundalk FC in the Republic of Ireland while he has also played for the Wales under 21 team.
Nathan visited Cwmclydach Primary School and Ton Pentre Junior Schools. He generously shared his experiences with Years 4, 5 and later 6 across a few busy afternoons. The Dundalk number one was extremely positive in his messages and also discussed the values of education and his time spent with WOW. In return, the youngsters offered some impressive and insightful questions
As well as giving up his time Nathan was bombarded with requests for autographs and he signed books, shoes, bags, gloves, bottles and more!
WOW cannot thank Nathan enough and it is such a pleasure to witness one of our proteges doing so well and that success comes as a result of desire, discipline, determination and diligence.
Well done Shepps and we hope that one day you pull on the Welsh shirt for the senior team but for now all the best in Dundalk and a 2023 European football adventure.
The 2022 Dundalk Player of the Year and also Supporters Player of the Year also offered a pair of goalkeeping gloves which can be used as a WOW fundraiser in the future.
