I was taking a walk at the running track, Tonypandy and a male and female were doing some serious training. On a short break I asked the dynamic duo if they were competitive forces. The lady informed me that she was a Welsh international. WOW! Role model identified! I asked if there was a chance of coming to WOW to speak with children and I had a most positive response.I am so glad to have asked Welsh international runner and British track Lauren Cooper. WOW is so grateful that Lauren voluntarily travelled from Blackwood and offered an interesting and entertaining discussion. Lauren was fantastic as she talked freely about her athletics career and took many questions from the one hundred plus children and staff gathered. The afternoon was a huge success and WOW is delighted to have scored another credit and over 40 of our introduced influencers have now graced Ton Pentre Juniors.
It is thanks to Lauren for her time, professional presentation and a kind deed that has benefited so many young lives!
